You will need to make one minor correction to your Windows Explorer
options in order to see the Windows files. On the View tab
of the Folder Options window in Windows Explorer,
Uncheck the Hide file extensions for known file types checkbox
and under Hidden files, check the Show all files checkbox.
The three files Windows uses for its screens are all 256 color
Windows Bitmaps with the .sys extension. They are:
Startup Screen: |
Logo.sys |
Found in the root directory
of your hard drive. (c:\) |
Wait Screen: |
Logow.sys |
Found in your Windows
directory. |
Shutdown Screen: |
Logos.sys |
Also found in your Windows
directory. |
Rename each of your files to the corresponding SYS file and copy
them to their corresponding directory.
That's it. Shut down the computer and restart to see what they
look like. Cool
Huh?
